Genus Zygocardiophorus Mardjanian in Iablokoff-Khnzorian & Mardjanian, 1981

Comments. Zygocardiophorus was originally proposed as a subgenus of Cardiophorus ( Iablokoff-Khnzorian & Mardjanian, 1981) . Douglas (2017) proposed the genus rank for Zygocardiophorus based on morphology, which was later confirmed by molecular phylogenetic approach ( Douglas et al. 2018). Platia & Ghahari (2016) listed Z. nigratissimus (Buysson, 1891) under Cardiophorus , and Nasserzadeh et al. (2023) under Zygocardiophorus .
