Homotypic synonym: — Cestichis major (Schltr.) M.A.Clem. & D.L.Jones in Jones & Clements (2005: 39).
Type: — Neu Guinea ( PAPUA NEW GUINEA), Kaiser-Wilhelms-Land, im Humus der Wälder des Bismarck-Gebirges, ca. 1,500 m, 1 Januar 1902, R. Schlechter 14055 (B+).
PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Enga Province, near Laiagam, Latulam, 2600 m, 24 March 1982, P. Samuka, K. Ula, R. Robinson s.n., leg. T. M. Reeve 4489 ( neotype LAE designated here, isoneotypes K!, NSW).
Note: — I did not find out any part of the original type-collection. In cause of “Reeve 4489” specimens has a very high quality plants of the species, therefore the collection deserve for designation as neotype.
