Type material. Selasia horni: Unspecified number of syntypes, males ( MNHN); Stenocladius basalis: Unspecified number of specimens, at least one syntype, male ( MNHN).
Type localities. Selasia horni : Sri Lanka: Anuradhapura ( North Central Province) and Weligama ( Southern Province); Stenocladius basalis : Sri Lanka (without further details).
Remark. Based on the study of type material of Selasia horni, Wittmer (1979) transferred this species to Stenocladius ( Lampyridae : Ototretinae ).
