Remarks
A widespread species, occurring from the Argentine Neuquén Province in the north to the Chilean Magallanes Province in the south. The subgeneric assignment is not clear. Besch ( 1964) assigned it to the typical subgenus. Cook ( 1980) placed it in the subgenus Corticacarides , but later Cook ( 1988) came to a different conclusion, and left it without subgeneric assignment.
