Itaquascon placophorum Maucci, 1972 View in CoL
Material examined
One specimen was collected from Yunnan Province.
Remarks
This species was reported as a new record for China from Shaanxi Province ( Li 2007). Colourless. Eyes absent. Cuticle smooth. A triangular papilla on dorsum near the caudal end. Buccal tube divided into anterior rigid portion and posterior flexible portion with annulation. Stylets weak. Stylet supports absent. Pharynx without apophyses and placoids. Claws of Hypsibius type. A cuticular bar present on the second and third pairs of legs. My specimen fits the description of this species ( Ramazzotti and Maucci 1983; Guidetti et al. 1999). This is the first report of this species from the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.
