Material examined. 1 male. CHINA, Yunnan province, Weixi county , altitude 2160 m, 15-VII-2013, leg. Min Wang. 1 female. CHINA, 30-VII-2003, Sichuan province, Moxi county , Luding city, leg. Guo-hua Huang and Min Wang ( SCAU) .
Identification notes. Wingspan about 50 mm. Forewing reddish brown, orbicular and reniform stigma brownish black, big and obvious. Hindwing with subterminal band wavy, submedial area with a black, longitudinal stripe, discal spot large and obvious.
Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished by the following characters: forewing reddish brown with yellow scales, hindwing with discal spot quite big and subterminal band continuous from costa to anal angle, submedial area with a broad longitudinal stripe.
Distribution. China (Hubei, Sichuan, Yunnan) ( Chen 1999).
