Redescription. Adult. Body smooth and slender.

Head. Proboscis short, rather stout; labial palpus ascending obliquely, the second segment of labial palpus approximately reaches the middle part of the frons; frontal tubercle truncated with the edge of uplift; compound eye big, rather round; antennae filiform, in male with cilia.

Thorax with bristle and trichode scales, without tufts. Forewing slightly rounded at the apex with a little exterior convex; ground color usually darkish grey, with white speckles, reniform and orbicular stigma large, which is a characteristic feature for noctuids; the second inferior vein nearer to the third than the first and the fourth at a distance. Hindwing apricot-shaped, usually with a black terminal band or subterminal band; legs long and slender, slightly pilose; foreleg tibia with long bristle, hind tibia with four long slender spurs.

Abdomen tapering from the base to the tip, apical tufts short and small.
