Lectotype (designated here by Gottschlich): — GERMANY. Thuringia: Kalkhänge bei L i berschütz, 8 June 1924, J. Bornmüller (B barcode B 10 0460416!).—Remaining syntypes: GERMANY. Thuringia: Dohlenstein bei Kahla, nahe d. Steinbrüche, 24 June 1923, J. Bornmüller (B barcode B 10 0484973!); Dohlenstein bei Kahla, Abhänge b. d. Steinbruch nahe der Saale, 24 June 1923, J. Bornmüller (B barcode B 10 1154384!).—Current name: Pilosella acutifolia (Vill. in Villars et al. 1812: 59) Arvet-Touvet (1880: 282).

Remarks: —The latter syntype has the handwritten annotation by Zahn: “Eltern H. pilosella ssp. vulgare Tsch. u. H. florentinum ssp. obscurum ”. It´s not appropriate to differentiate infraspecific taxa in such recent hybrid complexes.
