Nape with a vertebral stripe; in neonates/ juveniles, upper body may have scattered dark spots, lateral body with an obvious longitudinal band of light color, involving first to fourth scale rows ( Fig. 4G View Fig ; type I); in adults, upper body may have scattered dark spots ( Fig. 4H View Fig ; type II) or a faint longitudinal band of light color on the lateral body ( Fig. 4I View Fig ; type II); body scales smooth; head with only one internasal scale; anal scale divided.
