Genus Cyclocypris
Diagnosis (genus) (after Meisch 2000). Carapace short in lateral view, ovate in dorsal view, both H and W exceeding half of L. LV overlapping RV or RV overlapping LV. Fused zone with crescent-shaped internal expansion. A1 seven-segmented. A2 natatory setae well-developed or reduced. A2 five-segmented in males, t-setae present, not transformed into bristles. A2 claws dimorphic. T1 transformed into prehensile palps in males. T2 (walking leg) five-segmented with three basal setae (d1, d2 and dp). T3 (cleaning leg) four-segmented, f and g setae present, terminal segment two or three times longer than width. UR well-developed, posterior setae thin or weakly developed. Hemipenis well-developed with three lobes. Genital organ simple, without extensions. Zenker’s organ with seven whorls of spines.
