Localities. Material. Two whole mounts, one of which designated holotype ( FMNH KV.695), the other one in the HU reference collection (HU XIV.3.10) .

Etymology. The species is named after the ancient Celtic people that inhabited the region of the type locality (Lat. “gallicus” = Gallic).

Description. Based on observations of the whole mounts, the general morphology is as described for the genus, with the copulatory organ located anteriorly in the body, lateral to the pharynx. The number of testes is unknown. The stylet ( Figs. 3F View FIGURE 3 , 4F View FIGURE 4 ) is a strongly curved, “raptor-claw”-shaped hollow spine, and is 45–51 μm long. The proximal part is funnel-shaped and has an asymmetric aperture with a rounded flap. The distal third of the stylet is thin and tapers into a sharp tip. Laterally, the stylet shows a narrow, longitudinal slit. Additional details of the male copulatory system and female genital system could not be observed on the available specimens.
