Material: PEM A10863‒10873 (39); PEM T 573 (24), 574 (6b), and 658 (39); SAIAB 101011 (39), 101014 (40).

Comment: Reported from numerous localities within Angola ( Schmidt 1936; Monard 1937a; Laurent 1954, 1964; Poynton and Haacke 1996). The species is widely distributed in sub-Saharan Africa with geographic variation in coloration and morphology. The status of the various subspecies proposed (e.g., Laurent 1957) requires a modern appraisal.
