Material: PEM T 571 (10) and 572 (6b); SAIAB 187418 (8).

Comment: Described from Vila-da-Ponte [=Kuvango] by Monard (1937a), this continued to be the only known Angolan locality, although it was subsequently recorded from five localities in adjacent Zambia ( Channing 2001). No adults were obtained during our surveys, but tadpoles ( Fig. 7e ) collected just east of the type locality can be assigned to the species ( Channing and Broadley 1992) and represent the first Angolan material since the type description.
