Material examined. 2♀, LepsocAfrica CRG, Staude et al. (2016), 14HSS40, Gelechioidea, reared on Elephanthorrhiza elephantina , Fabaceae, Golden Valley , South Africa, Gauteng, Magaliesburg, 26˚01’38”S, 27˚32’34”E, 1540 m, Grassland, 23.xi.2014, eclosed (H. S. Staude) (gen. slide 121/19, O. Bidzilya) (all HSS).
Biology. The larva was observed feeding on Elephanthorrhiza elephantina (Fabaceae) in early November. Adults emerged 23.xi ( Staude et al. 2016: 75, 76).
Distribution. South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe (Meyrick 1909: 15; Janse 1950: 138; Bidzilya 2007: 95).
