Material examined. 1♂, LepsocAfrica, 16HSS194, Oecophoridae , reared on Dolichos angustifolius , Fabaceae, Steenkoppies farm, South Africa, Gauteng, Magaliesburg, 26˚01’25”S, 27˚32’36”E, 1580 m, Grassland/wooded kloof, 16.v.2017 eclosed (H. S. Staude) (gen. slide 148/19, O. Bidzilya) ( HSS).

Biology. The larva was observed feeding on Dolichos angustifolius (Fabaceae) in early April. Adult emerged 16.v ( Staude et al. 2020: 56). Previously larvae were recorded on Medicago sp. and Cyamopsis sp. ( Fabaceae ) in India (Fletcher 1920: 89).

Distribution. South Europe, North Africa, China (Guangdong, Taiwan), Japan, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Comoros, Mauritius, Reunion, Seychelles, Madagascar, Australia, Hawaii Isl., USA (Florida) ( Ponomarenko 2009: 253; De Prins & De Prins 2020).
