Material examined. 1♂, LepsocAfrica CRG, Staude et al. (2016), M1464b, Gelechioidea, reared on Vachellia robusta , Fabaceae, Jongmanspruit, Hoedspruit , South Africa, Limpopo, 24˚15’53.4”S, 30˚53’28.5”E, 12.xi.2016, eclosed (A. & I. Sharp) (gen. slide in glycerol vial) ( HSS).
Biology. The larva was observed feeding on Vachellia robusta (Fabaceae) in November. The adult emerged on 12.xi ( Staude et al. 2020: 55). Previously larvae were recorded on Vachellia tortilis and Vachellia gerrardii in Kenya (Bidzilya & Agassiz 2016: 127).
Distribution. South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya ( Meyrick 1913a; Janse 1949; Agassiz & Bidzilya 2016: 127).
