Material examined. 2♀, Staude et al. (2016), 12HSS178, Gelechioidea, reared on Searsia pyroides , Anacardiaceae, Steenkoppies farm, South Africa, Gauteng, Magaliesburg, 26˚01’25’’S, 27˚32’36’’E, 1580 m, Grassland/wooded kloof, 20.ii.2013 eclosed (H. Staude) (gen. slide 145/19, O. Bidzilya); 1♀, M199, South Africa, Limpopo, Sekhukune, 24˚40’51’’S, 30˚04’01’’E, 15.iii.2013, reared on Searsia pyroides , Anacardiaceae (A. & I. Sharp) (all HSS).
Biology. Larvae were observed feeding on Searsia pyroides (Anacardiaceae) in late January and mid-March. Adults emerged 20.ii. and 15.iii ( Staude et al. 2016: 73, 74; Staude et al. 2020: 59).
Distribution. South Africa ( Meyrick 1913a: 293).
