Cryptothecia aleurodes (Nyl.) Makhija & Patw.
This pantropical species has been found in the evergreen forests in Great Nicobar Island of the Nicobar Islands. It is characterized by the whitish to whitish grey thallus; white, slightly raised, rounded to pustular ascigerous areas; 8- spored asci; 13–16 × 2–4 septate, 54–76 × 23–27 μm ascospores and norstictic acid as lichen substance.
