Range:— Mexico to Venezuela and Bolivia (CO, LP); Brazil.

Ecology:— Rare, perhaps overlooked; terrestrial and saxicolous, occasionally epiphytic, in humid and semihumid forests, often on rock faces along streams; 350–620 m (200–1800 m elsewhere).
