Range:— Peru to northwestern Argentina, Paraguay, and southeastern Brazil. In Bolivia, in BE, CH, CO, LP, and SC.
Ecology:— Fairly common; terrestrial, rarely on rocks, mostly in semihumid forests; 450–1700 m.
Notes:— Differs from A. bangii by more strongly biserrate pinnae, fewer pinnae per blade, and forked basiscopic veins; from A. discrepans differing by having more deeply toothed, biserrate pinna margins and more apically acute pinnae.
