Etymology:— From Latin, albus, whitish.
Flowers with sepals, petals and white lip, rarely lip yellowish.
Material examined:— BRAZIL. Amazonas: Rio Negro, 20 November 1947, Fróes 22906C (IAN).
Distribution:— Northern Brazil: Amazonas. TDWG: 84 BZN-AM.
