Type material: Holotype male, NORWAY: Oppland, Dovre, Kongsvold, Blesbekken , 1350 m a.s.l., Malaise trap, K. Aagaard ( ZMBN Type No. 434).
Diagnostic characters: The male imago can be separated from other members of the oxoniana subgroup by the long, apically parallel-sided anal point and the low hind leg ratio of 0.44.
Etymology: Named in honor of Kaare Aagaard, Norwegian Institute of Nature Research, Trondheim, Norway, the collector of the species.
Male imago (n = 1)
All measurements and ratios within the variation of H. ruttneri with the following exceptions: Total length/wing length 1.55. Costal extension ( Fig. 50 A View FIGURE 50 ) 46 µm long, with false vein extending from base of costal extension to 199 µm. Front leg with ta 3 126 µm long, ta 4 81 µm long, LR 3 0.44, SV 3 4.42, BR 2 3.9. Anal point ( Fig. 50 F View FIGURE 50 ) 46 µm long, with weak scattered microtrichia to apex. Gonostylus with weak heel.
Female, pupa and larva
Unknown.
Distribution
The species is known only from the type locality, a high mountain locality in Norway .
