Diagnostic characters: The species differs from other members of the group by having third palpomere with 10 sensillae clavata; costal extension 57 µm long, VR 1.67, no anal point, and transverse sternapodeme only slightly arched and without oral projections.
The species known only from the holotype from a cloud forest in Santa Catarina State, Brazil, is described in detail by Andersen et al. (2010: 61) .
