Diagnostic characters
The species resembles P. tokaraneoa by having a long U-shaped virga, but is lacking a conspicuous crista dorsalis, and has a distinct heel on the gonostylus. A postcubital fork was not observed, but may be present.
The species is described by Makarchenko and Makarchenko (2006: 88).
Distribution
The species is known only from the Russian Far East.
