Type material: Holotype male, THAILAND: Mae Chaem District , Doi Inthanon, 5–10.x.1989, H. Malicky ( ZSM). Diagnostic characters: The male imago is separable from other members of the group by having a pointed inferior volsella together with a nearly parallel-sided anal point apparently widest near apex.
Etymology: The species is named in honor of D. H. Malicky, Lunz, Austria, the collector of this holotype and several of the more interesting other new species.
Male imago (n = 1)
All measurements and ratios are within the variation of P. topei with the following exceptions and additions: Total length 1.56. Antennae lost. Fifth palpomere 73 µm long. Antepronotum with 3 lateral setae, scutellum with 4 setae. VR 1.82, Cu 1 straight. Tarsomeres lost. Virga ( Fig. 64 E View FIGURE 64 ) 30 µm long. Anal point apparently with microtrichia to apex. Inferior volsella ( Fig. 64 F View FIGURE 64 ) reaching 0.72 gonocoxite length. Gonostylus with preapical, triangular crista dorsalis.

Unknown.
Distribution
This species is only known from the type locality, the highest mountains in Thailand .
