Third palpomere often with numerous sensilla clavata; antepronotum often only slightly reduced medially; postcubital fork present except in P. windwardensis ; inner tibial spur of mid leg present or absent; anal point except in broadly triangular with straight sides and sharply pointed apex, covered with microtrichia to apex; superior volsella absent or indicated in P. xanthostola , P. palauensis , P. yapensis , and P. hirtella ; inferior volsella sharply to bluntly triangular and placed posterior on gonocoxite in P. palauensis and P. yapensis , long in P. xanthostola , P. yapensis and P. windwardensis ; crista dorsalis nor evident except in P. palauensis and P. windwardensis . Female with subapical seta on antenna; tergite IX divided into protrusions with caudal concavity or notch; seminal capsules with fine scattered microtrichia except in P. xanthostola ; spermathecal ducts with separate openings, with bulbs before openings except in P. xanthostola . Immatures not known.
