Material examined: BRAZIL: Rio de Janeiro State, Reserva Biológica Tinguá, Nova Iguaçu , 22º34'28''S; 43º26'09''W, holotype male, 5-8.iii.2002, Malaise (Trilha 5), S. T. P. Amarante & eq. (BRTIN11: BIOTA- FAPESP) ( MZUSP) . Other material as in Andersen et al. (2010: 34).

Diagnostic characters: The species male imago can be separated from other species of the group by the combination of R 4+5 ending proximal to Cu 1, virga without lateral lamellae and composed of two spines longer than phallapodeme.

The species known only from the Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, is described in detail by Andersen et al. (2010: 34).
