Male antenna with subapical seta in P. navama , P. parinavama and P. bifurcata ; sensilla clavata of palpomeres numerous on palpomere 3 and palpomere 4 also with at least 1 sensilla clavata in P. baueri , P. parinavama and P. bifurcata ; median volsella partly or fully fused with superior volsella except in P. digitrienta ; inferior volsella without accessory lobe except in P. digitrienta and P. danconai , long except in P. navama and P. parinavama . Female gonocoxite of known species with caudal projection; seminal capsules with fine scattered microtrichia. Pupa with tergite IX with anterior and lateral shagreen or median shagreen only, tergal conjunctives II/III and VII/VIII of male with spinules in some specimens, male genital sac bare. Larva with anterior parapods carrying about 25 longer claws; posterior parapods with 3 claws, each 16–20 µm long; posterior parapods as long as or longer than anal tubules.
