Diagnostic characters: The species resembles P. gibbistyla View in CoL by having gonostylus bilobed with secondary lobe about as long as wide an adpressed to outer base of gonostylus, median volsella nearly as long as superior volsella, and apodeme lobe apparently with wrinkles. It differs in having a simple median volsella, inferior volsella with broad and rounded anterior projection, a minute anal point and apodeme lobe with about 7 wrinkles.
The species is described in detail in Andersen et al. (2010: 67). It is known only from São Paulo State, Brazil.
