DESCRIPTION.
♂: length: 12.5 – 13 mm, breadth: 6 – 6.5 mm; ratio LB/lB (n = 13): 1.68 (1.65 – 1.74).
Laterally slightly convex, rather elongate, slightly bent, broader before elytral declivity; entirely reddishbrown, tarsi blackish brown.
Head (eye to eye) broad and covered with tubercles; clypeus rounded, totally reflexed.
Antennae 10 segmented with club longer than funicle.
Pronotum rectangular, broader than long; ratio LP/lP (n = 13): 0.46 (0.44 – 0.49), sides regularly rounded from base to apex, with all margins carinate, anterior angles projecting and reaching posterior margin of eyes; strongly punctate.
Scutellum subtriangular, punctate.
Elytra longer than broad; ratio LE/lE (n = 13): 1.35 (1.30 – 1.37); epipleura complete; costae slightly elevated; intervals strongly punctate.
Humeral and apical calli slightly marked.
Pygidium laterally rounded, reflexed and slightly projecting posteroventrally, and not surpassing apex of elytra.
Abdomen concave; short triangular process at base of prosternum.
Protibia tridentate, pro and mesotarsal larger claw cleft; metatarsus with larger claw twice longer than other claw; metacoxae prolongated by long, pointed process.
Dorsum covered with short, dense, white, decumbent scales; lines of long separated erected yellowish setae on elytra, progressively longer from disc to lateral margin of elytra; margins from pronotum to elytral declivity, and disc of pygidium with very long erected yellowish setae; ventrum covered with short, dense, white, decumbent scales; erected yellowish setae on sternites.
Aedeagus: parameres triangular and elongate with apex incised, laterally slightly sinuate in dorsal view; sinuate to the base, apex slightly curved ventrally in lateral view.
♀: length: 12.5 – 14 mm, breadth: 6.5 – 7 mm.
Differs from ♂ by: larger; club of antennae shorter; abdomen convex;metacoxae not prolongated by long, pointed process.
DERIVATIO NOMINIS. Friendly dedicated to the naturalist and Conservator of Natural Reserve of Vogenée, JeanPierre Duvivier (Walcourt, Belgique).
