DESCRIPTION.

♂: length: 7 mm, breadth: 3.5 mm; ratio LB/lB (n = 1): 1.79.

Laterally convex, short, dorsally flat, broader before declivity; totally brown except femora and tibia yellow, abdomen blackish; shining.

Head (eye to eye) broad, clypeus rounded and excavate, margin totally reflexed; vertex punctate like frons.

Antennae 10­ segmented, with club longer than funicle.

Pronotum rectangular, broader than long; ratio LP/lP (n = 1): 0.48; sides regularly rounded from base to apex, with all margins carinate; anterior angles not projecting and not reaching posterior margin of eyes; punctured with deep rounded points.

Apex of scutellum rounded, disc strongly punctate.

Elytra longer than broad; ratio LE/lE (n = 1): 1.39; epipleura complete; costae slightly elevated; intervals strongly punctate.

Humeral and apical calli slightly marked.

Pygidium laterally rounded, carinate, not projecting postero­ventrally, and not surpassing apex of elytra.

Abdomen concave; short process at base of prosternum rounded.

Protibia tridentate; pro­ and mesotarsal larger claw cleft; metatarsus with larger claw twice longer than outer one.

Dorsum and ventrum covered with short, squamous, white, decumbent scales; longer on head and on pronotum; close on disc of scutellum and on sides on sternites; sparse, short, erected brownish setae on lateral margins from eyes to apex of elytra; disc of pygidium covered with long, close, white, erected setae.

Aedeagus: parameres dorsally parallel and elongate, short separated yellowish setae from middle to apex, sinuate; laterally straight from base to middle part, strongly sinuate ventrally to apex.

♀: unknown.
