Studied material. Four figured specimens.

Remarks. In the Sardinian samples there is a wide range of variations of this species, from smaller and simpler specimens ( Fig. 15d ) to bigger and normal ones similar to the holotype ( Fig. 15b, e ), or from the latter to specimens with robust shell and some segments with an ornamentation similar to the species of Tethysetta ovoidalis Dumitrică ( Fig. 15i ). This specimen has robust circumferential sutural cercles and two segments with regular central bands of pores. These facts prove that the two species are very closely related.

Range: UA Zones 15-22 (Baumgartner et al., 1995), upper Berriasian-lowermost Valanginian to upper Barremian-lower Aptian.
