Studied material. Four figured specimens.

Remarks. In the Sardinian samples there is a wide range of variations of this species, from smaller and simpler specimens ( Fig. 15d View Fig ) to bigger and normal ones similar to the holotype ( Fig. 15b, e View Fig ), or from the latter to specimens with robust shell and some segments with an ornamentation similar to the species of Tethysetta ovoidalis Dumitrică ( Fig. 15i View Fig ). This specimen has robust circumferential sutural cercles and two segments with regular central bands of pores. These facts prove that the two species are very closely related.

Range: UA Zones 15-22 (Baumgartner et al., 1995), upper Berriasian-lowermost Valanginian to upper Barremian-lower Aptian.
