Type locality and specimens. Fundnotizen [locality notes]: Die Art ist häufig in der Umgebung von Perth (Stat. 99, Lion Mill; Stat. 152, Gooseberry Hill; Stat. 98, Wooroloo; Stat. 154, Pickering Brook; Stat 155, York), wo sie bei Stat. 129. Jarrahdale, den südlichsten Punkt erreicht. Nördlich von Perth findet sie sich bei Stat. 88, Moora; Stat. 86, Arrino; Stat. 71, Northampton; sowie weiter im Innern bei Stat. 77, Yalgoo und bei Stat. 76, Day Dawn am Lake Austin. [The species is common in the area around Perth with its most southern place at station 129, Jarrahdale, at stations in the north (station 88, Moora; Station 86, Arrino; Station 71, Northampton), in the middle (station 77, Yalgoo) and near Lake Austin (station 76, Day Dawn)].
Dimensions. Die grössten mir vorliegenden Exemplare massen bis auf 42 mm bei nur 2 mm Breite. [The length of the biggest specimens was up to 42 mm and the width showed only 2 mm].

Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 67, No. 34. Paratypes (number not specified).
Type status. Weidner (1960: 67) listed ‘paratypes’ from Wooroloo, Arrino, Gooseberry Hill, Day Dawn and Northhampton. There are additional syntypes from Jarrahdale at the ZMB (catalog no. 4625-30) .
Collection remarks. All specimens were collected by Wilhelm Michaelsen during his expedition to Western Australia 1905. Given the pronounced regional endemism in southwestern Australia ( Rix et al. 2015; Harms et al. 2019), it is possible that the present specimens belong to multipe species. Current systematic position. Cormocephalus strigosus Kraepelin, 1908 .
