Type locality and specimens. Fundort [locality]: Umtuli River, Zululand. (Hamburger Museum.) .

Dimensions. Länge (ohne Endbeine): [length without ultimate legs] 32 mm. (Scheint noch jung zu sein [seems to be still young].)

Type material. Syntypes 2 ( ZMH-A0000590 , ZMH-A0009279 ). SOUTH AFRICA: KwaZulu-Natal, Umtuli River [ca. 26°11’S, 32°42’E] GoogleMaps .

Preservation. 1 jar: Label 1. Cormocephalus n. sp. Umtuli Riv. Zululand Mus. Gothenb. C. VI.07; Label 2. Cormocephalus elegans zuluinus Att. ; Label 3. Cormocephalus elegans Krpl. zuluinus Att. (imprint: Graf Attems, Wien determ. 1928–1934).

Old type catalogues. Weidner (1960), p. 65, No. 18. Syntypes 2.

Collection remarks. The type locality “ Umtuli River, Zululand ” refers to a river in the former Kingdom of Zulu (“ Zululand ”). The Umtuli is also known as Lasutfu , Maputo or Usutu River. The specimens came from the collections of the Natural History Museum Gothenburg ( Göteborgs Naturhistoriska Museum ) .
