Attems 1903a: 98 (as Otostigma platei n. sp.)

Type locality and specimens. Fundort [locality]: Quilpué unter Steinen [under stones] (Dr. Plate coll. August 1894 [?]). Valparaiso. Viña del mar (Dr. Michaelsen coll. 9. Juni 1893).

Dimensions. Länge ohne Analbeine [length without ultimate legs] 45 mm.

Type material. Syntype ( ZMH-A0000614 ) . CHILE: Valparaíso Province, Valparaíso [ca. 33°03’S, 71°37’W]. The gonopods are stored in a seperate microvial .

Preservation. 1 jar: Label 1. Hemiscolop. platei Att. Michaelsen 14. V.93, Valparaiso; Label 2. Otostigma platei Attems 1 Expl. Holotype ( Cormocepahalus platei (Att.)) .

Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 69, No. 62. Holotype.

Additional material. There are syntypes from Quilpué, Chile at the ZMB (no. 2877) .

Current systematic position. Akymnopellis platei (Attems, 1903) ; transferred by Shelley (2008: 197).
