Type species: Cyrtopsis variabilis Xia & Liu, 2007
Diagnosis. Fastigium verticis conical, dorsal surface with longitudinal furrow in the midline. Male pronotum large, metazona obviously raised or not, lateral lobes narrowing, without humeral sinus. Tegmina almost concealed beneath pronotum or slightly surpassing the posterior margin of pronotum. Genicular lobes with apical spine or not. Protibial tympana opened on both sides. Apices of posttibiae with 1 dorsal and 2 ventral spurs on each side. Posterior margin of male tenth abdominal tergite with large median concavity and 1 pair of lateral lobes, epiproct developed and fused with the preceding tergite, genitalia sclerotized and exposed, posterior margin of subgenital plate straight or with median concavity. Dorsal and ventral margins of ovipositor smooth.
