Type specimens. Holotype, F, AUSTRALIA: New South Wales: Glen Innes, 9.x.1956, G. F. Bornemissza, on P. dilatatus under a eucalyptus log (N1952290). In SAMA. Paratypes, 2 M, F, same data as holotype (N1952291-N1952293). In SAMA.
Other specimens. New South Wales: M, near Tenterfield, Washpool Ck, 8.x.1956, G. F. Bornemissza, on P. dilatatus (N1952294). In SAMA. Queensland: 3 F, 2 M, Rockwood, via Chinchilla, 1987, W. McKenzie, on passalid beetle (S74031-35); F, M, Mt Glorious, 6.v.1995, O. Seeman, ex passalid beetle (S74038-39); 2 F, Mt Glorious, 21.xii.1995, O. Seeman, ex Mastachilus sp. nr australasicus ( S74036 View Materials -37). In QM.
Diagnosis. Both sexes: idiosoma 745–780 long, without large pores; ventral and ventrianal shield lineatereticulate laterally, smooth medially, marginal shields smooth; anterolateral corner of ventrianal shield not fused with ventral shield; exopodal patterning between CxII–III spotted; pedofossae III absent; CxIV-marginal suture absent; femur III and IV with small distal lamellae, seta pv1 not significantly thickened; femur IV not elongated; seta h1 slightly curved and thickened, blade-like. Female: setae st2 minute, st 3 14–19, st 4 8–10 long; lyrifissure stp2 posterior of stp x; sternogynial shield weakly reticulate, but not honeycomb-like, flanked by 6–9 pores, not surrounded by a distinct smooth area. Male: sternoventral shield without suture behind genital opening; genital opening not flanked by pores; seta h3 anterior of h2.
Remarks. The holotype and paratypes are in poor condition.
