Diagnosis: Females of P. banco are recognized by the semicircular indentation of the posterior margin of the epigyne and its simple internal structure.
Etymology: The species name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.
Description: Female (holotype, RMNH). Total l 5.25.
Carapace dark reddish brown, covered by tiny warts forming a network with polygonal meshes. Carapace l: 2.13; w: 1.99. Fovea deep, clearly delimited. Sternum warted, l: 1.07; w: 1.28. Abdomen greyish. Without do scutum. Legs yellowish orange, covered by fine warts.
Leg spination: fe: I pl 0-0-1-1-1 rlv 1-1-1-1-1; III do 0-0-1; IV do 0-1-1; ti: I ve 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2- 2-2-2-2-2-2-2; IV pl 0-1-0; mt: I ve 2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2-2-2; III ve 0-2-0; IV pl 1-1-0 rl 0-1-0 ve 0-1-0.
Epigyne ( Figs 11A, B View Figure 11 , 38D View Figure 38 ): featureless dark area with shallow rounded indentation in posterior margin. Copulatory ducts short, simple, leading sideward towards egg-shaped, largely separated spermathecae; without lobate ducts.
Male unknown.
Known geographical distribution: Guinea, Ivory Coast ( Fig. 19 View Figure 19 ).
