Distribution in Iran. Caspian Sea area, Hamadan ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997 as Agriotes elongatus Marsham ), Iran (no locality cited) ( Cate et al. 2002; Cate 2007; Platia 2013a; Zapata & Sánchez-Ruiz 2014).

General distribution. Albania, Algeria, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Moldavia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia (South European Territory), Serbia-Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine ( Cate 2007).
