Type locality: Brazil, São Paulo.

Syntype ♂ with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “S. Paulo [State of São Paulo] | V-1931 [v.1931]”; (2) printed on white paper: “8.104”; (3) printed on red paper: “EMBRAPA”.

Condition of type: only thorax pinned; head and entire abdomen glued on paper. Missing parts: antennae, fore legs, left mid and hind legs, and wings except for the extreme base of left one.

Additional note: there is no type label in this syntype specimen. However, we recognize it as a syntype because three of four syntypes specimens are from São Paulo, Brazil—presenting the same label information described below (Lindner, 1935: 419)—, of which two of them are deposited in MNRJ (1 ♂ and 1 ♀, as described here) and one female deposited in Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde, Stuttgart, Germany (SMNS) (Woodley 2001: 183).

Condition of type: one antenna (left or right unknown) and left wing slide–mounted, kept with the specimen. Missing parts: one antenna (left or right unknown), last tarsomeres of left fore leg and terminal part of abdomen, including terminalia.
