Genus Rhynchaustrobates Cook, 1986
Rhynchaustrobates is small genus, known only from Australia. To date, six species are known from Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales ( Cook 1986, Harvey 1998, Smit 2001). All species have the capitulum attached to a long tube of soft integument to produce protrusible mouthparts, and this is not repeated in the text.
