Diagnosis.
This subgenus shares the main characters of Dinotrema sensu stricto but differs by having, in the fore wing, the maximum width of pterostigma wider than vein r (especially in males) and vein 2 - SR of fore wing always present.
Remarks.
This subgenus includes five Palaearctic species: D. (P.) comptum Tobias, 2003 , D. (P.) pachysemoides Tobias, 2003 , D. (P.) speculum (Haliday, 1838) , D. (P.) tobiasi (Fischer, 1994) and D. (P.) ussuricum Tobias, 2007 . The status of Prosapha has been variable for a long time. Foerster (1863) described this genus based on the distinctive large, cuneiform and heavily sclerotised pterostigma of the male. Van Achterberg (1988) and Tobias (2003 b) considered Prosapha species inside of Dinotrema based on their morphological similarity and because Prosapha females possess a narrower pterostigma weakly separated from the metacarp (1 - R 1). Prosapha species can be differentiated from Pseudoprosapha subgen. nov. by the presence of vein 2 - SR (which is absent in Pseudoprosapha ).
