Trat im Hochsommer 2002 und 2003 bei Vitis im Waldviertel an älteren Moorbirken ( Betula pubescens) auf den gleichen Bäumen auf, wie in den Jahren davor. Benachbarte Bäume blieben völlig befallsfrei. Um A IX waren alle Larven abgewandert. Der Massenbefall brach 2004 völlig zusammen.
