Diese aus Finnland beschriebene und auch aus Norwegen und Schleswig-Holstein gemeldete, an Aschweiden ( Salix cinerea) lebende Art wurde des öfteren im Waldviertel bei Zwettl gefunden. Sie gehört ebenfalls zur E. atra -Gruppe mit spindelförmigen Sprossgallen ( KOPELKE 1996).
