Im VI im Waldviertel mehrfach Larven dieses Stängelbohrers an feuchten Waldstellen in Wurmfarn ( Athyrium) gefunden, aber noch nicht gezüchtet. Zur Biologie und Parasitierung der Art an A. filix-femina in Schottland siehe SHAW & BAILEY (1991).
