Zusammen mit N. fuscomaculatus um A VIII/02 auf Salix bei Rappottenstein gesammelt. Imagines um M V/03. Die Art ist bisher in Österreich nicht nachgewiesen (Taeger in litt.); sie soll auf zahlreichen Weidenarten leben.
