Das umfangreiche Wirtspflanzenspektrum dieser plurivoltinen Art ist um die Klettendistel (Carduus personata) zu erweitern. Larven bei Rappottenstein im Waldviertel um E VI/02. Imagines erst um M V/03. Sie fliegen in tieferen Lagen von V bis IX, mit Maxima im VI und VIII; in subalpinen Lagen entsprechend kürzer (PSCHORN- WALCHER & TAEGER 1995).
