Microlepia speluncae
status

Microlepia speluncae View in CoL (L.) T.Moore, Index Fil. xciii. 1857.

Range:— Pantropical; perhaps introduced in the Americas; likely to be spreading in Bolivia, where so far known only from LP.

Ecology:— Rare; terrestrial in humid forests, especially near streams; to 500 m.

Notes:— The sori and indusia are similar to Saccoloma inaequale ( Saccolomataceae ; Kessler & Smith 2017c), which has erect rhizomes with scales. The leaf architecture and pubescence resemble Dennstaedtia cicutaria , but that species has marginal sori.
