Diagnosis. Females of P. pauferrense differ from their eight-eyed congeners by the epigynum with atrium much wider than long, onion dome-shaped ( Figs 49 View FIGURES 46–51 , 52 View FIGURES 52–53 , 64 View FIGURES 60–65 ) (triangular in the other species) and by the CD with first loop sclerotized ( Figs 50 View FIGURES 46–51 , 53 View FIGURES 52–53 ) (hyaline in other species).
Description. Female (IBSP 235978): Carapace and legs pale yellow, and abdomen weakly pigmented ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 46–51 ). Total length: 3.35. Carapace 1.2 long, 0.95 wide; abdomen 1.75 long, 1.2 wide; sternum 0.79 long, 0.6 wide ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 46–51 ); palpal claw with 6 teeth ( Fig. 59 View FIGURES 54–59 ). ALS 0.25 long, 0.1 wide. ALS with one MaAm and six Pi (Figs 60–61); PLS with two Cy and one Ac ( Figs 60, 62 View FIGURES 60–65 ); PMS with one MiAm, one Ac and three Cy ( Figs 60, 63 View FIGURES 60–65 ). Eight eyes arranged in two rows, the anterior row straight, the posterior procurved ( Figs 46–47 View FIGURES 46–51 ). Eye diameters and interdistances: ALE 0.058; PLE 0.058; PME 0.054; ALE–AME 0.012; PLE–ALE 0.025; AME–ALE 0.012; PME–PLE 0.041; PME–PME 0.062. Chelicerae 0.46 long; one retromarginal tooth and four promarginal teeth. Leg formula 4123. Scopulate on metatarsi and tarsi leg I ( Figs 54–56 View FIGURES 54–59 ). Trichobothria present on dorsal tibia leg I ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 54–59 ). Tarsi I-I with long toothed claws, with 9 teeth ( Fig. 55 View FIGURES 54–59 ). Leg measurements: I: 3.03 (0.90, 0.48, 0.69, 0.53, 0.44); II: 2.71 (0.60, 0.48, 0.63, 0.53, 0.49); III: 2.7 (0.75, 0.41, 0.50, 0.51, 0.53); IV: 3.76 (1.00, 0.50, 0.81, 0.80, 0.65). Leg spination: I—femur d1-1-0, p0-0-1; tibia v2-2-2; metatarsus v2-2-0. II—femur d1-1-0; tibia v0-1r-1r; metatarsus v2-0-0. III—femur d1-1-0, p0-0-1; tibia d0-1-0, p0-1-1, v1p-2-2; metatarsus p0-1-1, v2-0-3. IV—femur d1-1-0, r0-0-1; tibia d0-1-0, p0-1-1, r0-1-1, v1p-2-2; metatarsus d0-1r-0, p1-0-1, r1-0-0, v1p-2-2. Epigynum: EF as wide as long; A oval with lateral and anterior margins sclerotized ( Figs 49 View FIGURES 46–51 , 52 View FIGURES 52–53 ). Vulva: PS bean-shaped, two times longer than wide; SS with strongly curved lateral with well-defined rounded terminal part; FD antero-lateral ( Figs 50 View FIGURES 46–51 , 53 View FIGURES 52–53 ).
Variation. Females (n = 4): total length 2.40–3.20.; carapace length 1.10–1.20; femur I length 0.08–0.10.
Distribution. Only known from the type locality in the state of Paraíba, northeastern Brazil ( Fig. 66A View FIGURE 66 ).
