Material examined. Holotype: ♂, mixed forest (37°41 ʹ 43 ʺ N, 128°30 ʹ 14 ʺ E, alt. 950 m), Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, 10 June 2010, J. C. Lim. Paratype: 1$, same data as holotype.
Etymology. The specific name comes from the type lo-
cality, Pyeongchang County.
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to P. montanus Paik, 1978 in the distal part of procursus, uncus and appendix of the male palp, but easily distinguished from the latter by the detailed structure of the procursus, uncus and appendix, the shape of epigynal knob and posterior plate of female ( Fig. 3 View Fig A-F).
Description. Male (holotype). Total length 5.20. Habitus as in Figure 1E View Fig . Carapace 1.60 long, 1.50 wide, circular and yellow, with brown radiated stripes. Clypeus height 5 times of diameter of AME. AER 0.65, PER 0.72. AME 0.12, ALE 0.17, PME 0.16, PLE 0.17, AME-AME 0.05, AME-ALE 0.05, PME-PME 0.25, PME-PLE 0.04, AME-PME 0.08, and ALE-PLE 0.03. Medi- an ocular quadrangle, posterior side>height>anterior side (38:26:21). Sternum 0.75 long, 1.03 wide. Labium 0.33 wide. Leg measurements: I 38.60 (9.70, 0.60, 9.90, 16.00, 2.40), II 25.60 (7.20, 0.60, 6.30, 9.90, 1.60), III 17.90 (5.20, 0.60, 4.30, 6.60, 1.20), IV 23.60 (6.90, 0.60, 5.90, 8.80, 1.40). Leg I/c 24.03. Fem. I/c 6.06. Tib. I/ c 6.19. Met. I/c 10.00. Pat. I + tib. I/c 6.56. Met. I/tar. I 6.67. Met. IV/tar. IV 6.29. Abdomen 3.60 long, 1.40 wide, and cylindrical; dorsum yellow with brown dots. Palp ( Fig. 3 View Fig A-D): trochanter with a pointed apophysis; procursus with elongated ridge forming broad chitinized membrane and a sharp process distally; bulb with round uncus, embolus with feather-like tip, and a long pointed appendix.
Female (paratype). Total length 5.60. Habitus as in Figure 1F View Fig . Carapace 1.50 long, 1.60 wide. Clypeus height 3.9 times of diameter of AME. AER 0.59, PER 0.65. AME 0.12, ALE 0.16, PME 0.16, PLE 0.16, AME-AME 0.04, AME-ALE 0.03, PME-PME 0.21, PME-PLE 0.03, AME-PME 0.08, and ALE-PLE 0.03. Median ocular quadrangle, posterior side>height>anterior side (33:25:19). Sternum 0.78 long, 1.03 wide. Labium 0.33 wide. Leg measurements: I lost, II 21.30 (5.90, 0.60, 5.20, 8.20, 1.40), III 15.60 (4.40, 0.60, 3.70, 5.80, 1.10), IV 21.40 (6.10, 0.60, 5.30, 8.00, 1.40). Abdomen 3.80 long, 2.90 wide, and oval. Epigynum: anterior plate with slightly concave posterior margin; posterior plate with a small knop; internal genitalia with a pair of pore plates and sclerotized broad plate anteriorly ( Fig. 3 View Fig E-F) .
